"I noticed a major difference in how well my face stayed hydrated when I use this oil consistently— especially during the winter! However, the smell is not my favorite and I would often have to follow up the oil with a bit of the overnight star cream (a smell that I love) to help balance it out. Otherwise my wife would tell me I smelled very medicinal 🙃"
"For the price, I was a bit hesitant for a while to get this, though it is my HG oil. I have acne-prone skin that gets clogged easily, and this keeps my skin amazing with a slight glow but not too glowy (so not matte but not egregiously shiny / glowy). I use it as a first step oil cleanse to help with cleaning sebaceous filaments, and then follow up with cleaning it all off with my regular foaming gel cleanser. I also use it for the ends of my hair when they are dry, and yes it does smell a bit like traditional Chinese medicine herbs if you are familiar, though I'm used to and grew up with that smell, so it's fine with me. Some have told me it smells a bit like vanilla though (mostly the smell after it has settled a bit), and I agree. Though it's all natural sort of smell, because this product is all natural. Completely worth the price and I hope they continue to make this product or I shall have to look all over again for an oil that meets my standards."

"I had never used an oil on my face, probably because I had acne as a teen (I'm in my 60s now). I got a sample of the Ginseng Root Facial Oil so I gave it a try. I like it so much I've already bought a full size. It makes my face feel wonderful, sort of soothed and energized at the same time. And unlike some of the reviewers, I not only don't mind the fragrance, but actually like it. I like so many of the Peach & Lily products that I'm not sure yet whether the Ginseng Root will make it onto my repurchase list, but there is nothing about it that I don't like, and it has inspired me to finally try the brand's cleansing oil, too."
