      How to Use
      Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry face & neck in the evening. Follow up with a moisturizer. Start once weekly, and increase frequency as needed.

      Precautions: For external use only. Avoid the eye area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, discontinue and consult a specialist. Retinal is not recommended for those pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant. Daily use of a broad spectrum SPF30 or higher is recommended. Keep out of reach of children.

      Our founder, Alicia Yoon, struggled with eczema her whole life and has very sensitive skin. She, like so many people, had avoided retinoids because it was hard to find one that was potent, stable, and gentle enough for her sensitive skin. So we set out to create a retinoid that could actually meet all three criteria. Given how retinoids work, we knew this would not be a standard product development process, but would instead require a deep-dive innovation research project. We enlisted a village of experts: biochemists, formulators, and dermatologists to research novel ingredients and innovations.


      We decided that we would not launch a retinoid product until we had a breakthrough where potency, stability, and gentleness could live together – because your skin deserves the best. This meant there was no timeline on product development – simply because innovation can't be time locked. It took three years, hundreds of unique formula iterations, and an independent clinical study using instrumentation to determine more objective results.
